While we are not experts on Fire Trucks our company owner does have a Fire Chief in her family. He has looked over and tested out this unit and states that it functions very well! He is available to us to answer any questions that we may not have the answer to!
We had this truck fully serviced by a local shop Goodman in Amelia, VA and they installed brakes all around, passed it for VA State Safety Inspected, and said that it needed one valve replaced in order to pass the full pump inspection - We did not do that only because the paint shop was ready for the truck - so with very little work this truck will pass a Pump Test!
The unit has been driven a couple hundred miles by firemen since we acquired it and it drives great! They also assisted with the testing of all the truck's systems and it functions just as it should!
The Gladiator's are well know for their roomy cab design that provides ease of movement, extended leg and headroom and excellent visibility for the crew members. The width of the cab doors, step width, and step height provide for safe entry and exit for crew in full firefighting gear.
