My biggest musical influences are Thrice, Emery, Deftones, A Perfect Circle, He is Legend, Glassjaw, Strata, Sent by Ravens, and many more than I care to name. I'm up to try anything musically--I don't like to box myself in a genre--I like to have fun musically, using unexpected twists and turns, playing with awkward time signatures, and just creating good music that people can connect and groove with.

I'm available most evenings for rehearsals, including weekends.

I would like to say however, that I'm not much of a death metal, super screamo fan. I mean, c'mon, really? That music has come and gone in the NC scene years ago...Think of it this way, when you work hard, and create something good, with whatever type of message or style your band has, don't you want people to be able to hear it loud and clear? You can be heavy without dropping your guitar down to A and screaming "death bloody death happy hannukah."

With that being said, I don't typically like to tune below C, or C# (CGCFAD, at the absolute lowest--the 'waves' of the frequencies from the guitar/amp/cab are spread too far apart, resulting in a tone that is just downright awful.)

I also have some experience on keys...might this be useful, I dont know... I plan on purchasing a fairly cheap keyboard shortly, just to have something to fiddle on.

With the music, I mainly write heavy groove riffs with some dark ambient clean stuff and have some straight forward power parts. Throw in some progressive hard rock with darker overtones and go from there. To use bands to describe what sound I'd like to do, they'd be Mastodon, Chevelle, Tool (more like Aenima and Lateralus), Korn (older stuff), Stain'd (Dysfunction), A Perfect Circle, Mudvayne, with some of the northeastern metal flavor in there.

To cut to the chase, I'm seeking generally any and all musicians that have the ability to make crazy good music. Specifically, I'd love to have a guitarist, who is also a male vocalist. I am not looking for perfectionists or control freaks, or looking to exploit music for any reason. I just want to create music,and play it on a stage in front of people that get to have just as much fun with it as we would.

Primarily I am a singer, but I have just started piano lessons, and I want to take up the guitar. My knowledge in music theory is not perfect, but I learn more about it every day. I'm a college student, so right now I am in the process of looking for a permanent place to practice. If you have a garage or know of a place where this can happen, all the better =]

I work and am in school, but I am completely committed, so expect to practice at least 2x a week.

I'm a 30-something bassist mostly self-taught, been playing for about a year. I want to step out and play with a group that's interested in playing covers and/or original music in local, small venues. I can play some fast beats but I am no shredder. My latest music group leader described me as a "pocket player", I like finding grooves and trying a few variations on a theme. My influences and interests are very wide-ranging, though I can't play them all: Sting/Police, ZZ Top, Seether, Tool, Pink Floyd, ACDC, contemporary Christian, Cream, Tom Petty, Breaking Benjamin, Bush, A Perfect Circle, Bob Segar, Bush, Enya, Nickelback, NIN, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rush, Versaemerge.

I have a day job with career, family with kids. I can practice 1-2 times a week and would love to gig a couple times a month. I've got my own transportation, 3 axes and a 100w Fender Rumble amp that I play mostly rock on alongside mp3's. I want to grow and step out of my comfort zone, open to play about any kind of music if it makes me a better player. I'm local to Fayetteville, NC and won't move, my roots are here.

A little about myself. I've been songwriting for a good amount of years now and playing guitar for five years. I started a band last year with a friend and we performed a show together at Jesters Pub. Our lead singer moved an now it's just me and our drummer looking to make some sound. He's been playing the drums for years and has been in a few ska bands that have recorded albums.

I'm leaving in December and we really want to keep playing together til then. I really want to experiment with other musicians.

I am influenced by many...modest mouse, blink 182, lykke li, incubus...that's just a few.
